Howard Wong began vocal studies under Benjamin Luxon and Sheila Amit whilst studying for his BA and MA in Music at Canterbury Christ Church University. He was then awarded a Scholarship to continue Postgraduate studies under Theresa Goble at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he graduated with Distinction.  Since then, his work in opera, oratorio and recitals has taken him to The Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, Snape Maltings in Aldeburgh, The Royal Albert Hall, The Wigmore Hall, St. John's, Smith Square, St. Martin-in-the-Fields and other major music centres throughout the UK, Sweden, Italy, Belgium and the Far East.

He was the winner of the Association of English Singers and Speakers Competition  in 2002, which has helped establish him as a popular recitalist of the English Artsong genre, appearing at many song festivals throughout the country and abroad.  He is particularly noted for his performances of Gerald Finzi’s music and has recorded an all-Finzi CD for Belgian recording company, De Rode Pomp.

Aside from his own singing, Howard has conducted a number of choirs and orchestras. Currently, he is the conductor of The City of Canterbury Sinfonia and recently worked as Chorus Master for London's celebrated Chelsea Opera Group.

Future engagements include: The inaugural concert of a new international artists series in Bahrain; The London Song Festival; and Cambridge RVW Festival.
